Samsung unveiled the SH100, a compact Wi-Fi enabled camera that allows for sharing over the internet and social networks. It can use Wi-Fi to connect to your Android smartphone, so you can view the shot you’re about to take in real time on your phone. Auto shutter, geotag are notable features in this camera.

The team from Google are happy and have been taken by pleasant surprise after Nexus S, the Official Google's second phone, was found working even fine even at the earth's outer atmosphere - at 60,000 feet.

The tiny Androids strapped to seven payloads to test the outer limits of Nexus S were carried into the Earth's outer atmosphere using weather balloons, the Daily Mail reported.

Samsung is enjoying the success with Android OS, after Galaxy S smart phone now its Galaxy Tab which Samsung claims to have sold more than million Tabs.

No details were made available regarding the region which gave the highest sales but thanked the holiday season for achieving the million mark swiftly.

Google after not clicking with HTC want to try their Google branded mobile named 'NEXUS 2' with Samsung which many thinks it will be releasing with Android v2.3 code named Gingerbread.

Samsung is betting big on Android OS. Samsung Electronics Co aims to sell more than 40 million smartphones worldwide in 2011, which is double the projection for the current year, the Nikkei business daily reported citing a senior official at the South Korean company.

Shin Jong-kyun, head of Samsung's mobile division, told they expects to sell more than 20 million smartphones this year, up from the 18 million units eyed at the beginning of the year, the paper said.

Samsung Mobile UK via twitter has confirmed that they will start up-gradation of the android handsets to Froyo so that capable handsets will be running v2.2 by the end of the month.

With Froyo up-gradation, soon they will be equipped with mobile Wi-Fi hotspot feature and the the most important Flash 10.1.

Samsung Galaxy S still going strong, to cross 2 Million mark by next week.

As we recently heard that samsung had already sold more than 1 million Galaxy S Android handsets but the company just said that it will hit the two million mark by the end of next week.

So how is it possible in this less time? Because Samsung doesn't have any exclusivity deals like iPhone does with AT&T.

Other factors are 4.0" inch screen with Super AMOLED screen and the power packed Android OS with all the features.  

The company said it expects to sell 5 million Galaxy S Android phones in the United States by the end of the year. Around the globe, it plans to sell 25 million smartphones by the end of the year and it wants to double that shipment number for 2011.

Thought Apple iPhone 4 had garnered a lot of hype and craze since its release but its is showing no effect in the sales of other high end smartphones, infact they are leading the race in terms of sales and most of those run on the Google Android platform.

Before samsung entering the android league Motorola was taking full advantage od android. Recently, the Motorola Droid X from Verizon has been topping the charts but now it will have stiff competition from the Samsung Fascinate.

Here are some of these smartphone which are VVIPS and are hot sellers. Moptorola Droid X, HTC Droid Incredible, Sprint Epic 4G, HTC Evo 4G, Samsung Captivate and Samsung Vibrant.

According to WSJ post, Samsung is launching its Galaxy Tab with Verizon Wireless, Sprint, and AT&T  since negotiation with them had gone well. But we don't see the T-Mobile. Many say that Samsung Galaxy Tab can give tough competition to apples iPad. The Android tablet when it becomes available next month.

Pricing on the tablet is still a source of contention with off-contract costs possibly soaring as high as $1000. Samsung executives have a pegged a $200-300 price tag but the end cost will depend upon carrier subsidies. US pricing has not been disclosed and Verizon is reportedly still deciding whether to offer the Galaxy Tab at discounted, contract-based pricing.

Samsung reportedly expects to ship 10 million tablet devices next year, a 33% market share.

Other competitor for the Galaxy Android Tab is Dell's Streak which has Android V 1.6 (Donut).
