Brief overlook at upcoming Android Tablets (includes new starter).

Viewsonic ViewPad:


Viewsonic makers of simple and economical yet popular LCD Monitor is going to try it's luck in Tablet area with the launch of what some called as Viewsonic Viewpad which look similar to Olivepad (India's first Tablet based on Android OS). It is said to showcase at IFA show. Its a 7 inch android tablet with the features like 3G and WiFi connectivity. More detail will soon emerge.


StreamTV Elocity A7:


StreamTV, a startup company from Philadelphia is coming with it's Tablet PC powered by Nvidia's Tegra 2 Processor and will be running Android OS version 2.2 a.k.a Froyo.

It does have 7-inch 800 x 480 resolution, capacitive touchscreen capable of multitouch with a front-facing 1.3 megapixel camera. It is capable of video call since it is 3G Tablet.

For connectivity it has given SD card slot along with USB and HDMI ports, It is said that it can play 1080p HD Video with ease after all its powered by 1GHz Tegra II-720 CPU! The SteamTV's CEO said to Engadget that they'll only be shipping 2.2-running units come October and with a supplemental GetJar app store since it cannot preload Google's Marketplace because of restrictions. He also tells us they'll be including an HDMI cord and wireless keyboard in the box -- all for $399.

Toshiba's so called Folio 100:


According to Netbook Italia's, Toshiba's tablet said to have Android 2.2, NVIDIA Tegra 2 , a 10.1-inch 1024 x 600 screen, 16GB internal memory, 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth, 3G, SD and MMC card readers, HDMI and USB 2.0 ports, a 1.3 megapixel webcam, and a 1020mAh battery with a battery life of up to 7 hours with mixed use (browsing and video playback).

It is also pumped with Opera mobile browser, Flash 10.1, an e-book reader, and some office applications.

Samsung Galaxy Tablet:


The upcoming Tablet from Samsung, named as Galaxy Tab which is going to come out of curtains on Sept 2. Galaxy Tab join the family of Galaxy looks like a direct extension of the Galaxy S series of phones Samsung is currently selling.

It is 7-inch multi-touch screen, powered by Google Android 2.2. Froyo, WCDMA 3G, 802.11n WiFi, a 16:10 screen ratio, a front-facing camera "dedicated to video calling," SDHC memory expandability and so onnnnnnnn......
