Google refreshes it's mobile search, announces search by image and voice search for desktop.

In order to make mobile search easy, fast and efficient, Google announced two new features for mobile search. The first being the search for the places around you by introducing new shortcuts to commonly searched local categories, like restaurants, coffee shops and bars, in the form of icons on the mobile google homepage.

The other feature being the predictability. With this feature, the user can now build longer, more complicated searches with an ease. You can now add suggested phrases to the search box and “build” your search piece by piece.


The other two big features which Google announced at "Inside Search" event belonged to desktop arena.


The first one was Android style voice search, soon to be seen in Google Chrome, initially supporting English language only. The other feature may soon start a new trend in search arena. Google announced "Search by Image" feature, which again can be seen in Google Chrome and Firefox with the help of add-on.


In "Search by Image", you can simply drag the picture into Google search box, and the Google secret algorithm tries its best to recognize it and deliver relevant results.


Apart for this two features, Google also announced Instant Pages, which has capability of speed up browsing by prerendering results when its "confident you're going to click them." It will soon be seen in latest developer version of Google Chrome.
